Ask A Vet App — Your Pet’s Health & Safety Hub (Everything Else Is Optional Add-Ons)
Pets don’t come with a user manual… and they definitely don’t keep their own medical records tidy.
The Ask A Vet app is the one place you store your pet’s info, track what’s changing, and share the right details fast when it matters — from everyday health to “oh no, they’re missing” moments.
Built by Dr Duncan Houston, BVSc (Veterinarian).

Why you actually need the app (even if your pet is “fine”)
Because the stressful moments always start the same way:
“When did this start again?”
“How many times did they vomit?”
“Did they eat something new?”
“Where’s the vaccine record?”
“What did the vet say last time?”
The app fixes that by making your pet’s care trackable, searchable, and shareable — so you’re not relying on memory while panicking.
What the Ask A Vet app does
(the essentials)
This is what true feline comfort looks and feels like:
1
One profile for your pet — always up to date
Create a pet profile with the key details you want stored in one place.
2
Track the small changes that matter
Log day-to-day health and behaviour changes so patterns become obvious (instead of guessin
3
Store everything important
Keep your pet’s records and files together:
Vaccines, invoices, lab results, imaging reports
Photos/videos of symptoms
Notes and history
4
Share the right info when needed
Whether it’s a sitter, a family member, or a clinic — you can quickly pull up accurate details without hunting through messages and emails.
How it all works together (simple)
1
Set up your pet in the Ask A Vet app (profile + docs + tracking)
2
Optionally add gear that links to that same profile
3
Update info once in the app → it stays current everywhere it’s used

Optional Gear: ID + GPS + Training
These are add-ons. Helpful, but not required. The app is the home base.

Option 1: QR ID Tag (battery-free, always-on)
Attach the QR ID Tag to your pet’s collar or harness. If someone finds your pet, they can scan it and view the up-to-date info you choose to share, such as:
Owner + backup contact
Carer/sitter contact details
Medical notes, allergies, meds (owner-entered)
Diet/food notes (sensitivities, prescription diet, “no chicken,” etc.)
Handling notes (“nervous—don’t chase”, “reactive with dogs”, etc.)
Best part: it never needs charging, so it’s always scannable. can scan it and view the up-to-date info you choose to share, such as:

Option 2: Premium GPS, Health & Training Tracker (all-in-one upgrade)
Pair the Premium Tracker with the app for:
Real-time GPS tracking
Virtual Fence alerts (set a boundary, get notified if they leave)
Activity & routine tracking (spot changes over time)
Bark detection alerts
Training cues (sound + vibration)
LED safety lighting for night visibility
USB-C rechargeable + water resistant design
It also functions like an ID tag: the Tracker displays a QR ID code on its screen, linking to the same Ask A Vet pet profile.

Do you need both the QR ID Tag and the Tracker?
No — the Tracker can replace the ID Tag because it shows the QR code on-screen.
But the Tracker uses a battery, so some owners choose to add the QR ID Tag as a battery-free backup. That way, even if the Tracker runs out of charge, your pet still has scannable ID on their collar.
And if the Tracker ever goes flat: recharge it and the on-screen QR ID is back.

Quick safety note
Ask A Vet supports tracking and guidance — it doesn’t replace an in-person veterinary exam. If your pet is in severe distress (trouble breathing, collapse, seizures, uncontrolled bleeding, toxin ingestion, severe pain), seek emergency veterinary care immediately.
